Kumi Kobayashi, MD

Dr. Kobayashi graduated from Jikei University School of Medicine in 2011 and worked for about 10 years as a physician in Japan, specializing in endocrinology and diabetes. My clinical practice emphasized comprehensive care and a whole-patient approach.

Since joining the Ishibashi lab in 2022 as a research assistant, I have focused mainly on data analysis and statistical analysis. My research interests span neurodevelopment in congenital heart disease, stem cell therapy, and imaging. Drawing on my background as a clinician, I bring a clinical and translational perspective to research and am particularly interested in interpreting experimental findings in a clinically meaningful way.
